🚨 Appointment Non-Attendance (DNA) Notice

Due to a significant increase in missed appointments, we have had to introduce stricter measures to ensure fair access to our services for all patients.

Cancelling or Rearranging Your Appointment

We kindly ask patients to give as much notice as possible when cancelling or rearranging appointments. Wherever possible, this should be at least 1 working day’s notice, so we can offer the appointment to another patient.

Missed Appointments (DNA)

A Did Not Attend (DNA) occurs when a patient does not attend their appointment and has not informed the practice in advance. These appointments are wasted and prevent other patients from receiving care.

What Happens if You Miss an Appointment

  • The appointment will be recorded as a DNA in your medical record
  • Repeated missed appointments may result in us contacting you to discuss any difficulties attending
  • Continued non-attendance may lead to a review of your registration with the practice, in line with NHS guidelines. At this point, you would be at risk of removal.

Help Us Help You

Missed appointments increase waiting times for everyone. By cancelling appointments you no longer need, you are helping ensure care is available for those who need it most.
